Founded in 1997, it serves as the voice of the surveillance industry, advocating for ethical, compliant, and efficient use of CCTV, body-worn video, and video surveillance technologies.Members gain access to a wide range of resources to help run and maintain their video surveillance systems. Key aspects of the group include: - Resources & Standards: Exclusive access to template policies, operating manuals, technical guides, and codes of practice to ensure compliance with standards and data regulations.Advocacy & Liaison: The organisation regularly liaises with the UK government, the Security Industry Authority (SIA), and the police to represent the views of practitioners on funding, data protection, and crime prevention.
